What does Israel have to do with the rapture? Well, Israel is God’s timepiece so to speak. We can look at Israel and determine where we are on the prophetic timeline.
The State of Israel is established
On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. U.S. President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day. Since that day, Israel has been at war. They’ve been in a hot war, cold war, or defending against terrorism since May 14, 1948.
The Prophetic Timeclock
If current events lead to a time of peace in Israel the prophetic timeclock will have moved an hour closer to rapture! If the defeat of Iranian proxies Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis is accomplished and peace is established in Israel the Day of the Lord and Rapture is at hand! 1 Thess. Chapter 5:2 & 3 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night [Rapture]. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction [tribulation period] comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
Unholy alliance
In 2 Chronicles chapter 18 Jehoshaphat entered into an un-holy alliance with Ahab which almost cost him his life. Only his shout to the Lord saved him. Israel will once again enter into an un-holy alliance with the world. Daniel 9:27 Then he [Antichrist] shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. But in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate. Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.
Israel is delivered
Israel will again shout out to the Lord and be supernaturally protected during this one week [seven year] period. Rev. 12;15-17 So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.
But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Enemy from the far north
In Ezekiel 38:11 an enemy from the far north will invade Israel during a time of peace. Ezekiel 38:22 The Lord will bring judgement upon this invading enemy from the far north and save Israel once again!
Rapture and the great tribulation period
This time of peace in Israel coincides with rapture and the beginning of the great tribulation. 1 Thess. Chapter 5:2 & 3] For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night [Rapture]. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction [tribulation period] comes upon them. As labor pains upon a pregnant woman. Rapture happens before the great tribulation begins. 1 Thess. 5:9-11 For God did not appoint us to wrath [the great tribulation period], but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ [Rapture]. Who died for us, that whether we wake [live] or sleep [dead], we should live [Rapture] [1 Thess. 4:16] together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
1 Thess. 4:16-18 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. [Rapture] And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. [Rapture]
